About this event

Presented by Villanova's Department of Education and Counseling with the Disability and Accessibility Action Group of H-CAN and SU4LM

Join us to watch and discuss some captivating film shorts (5 minutes each) that were part of Easter Seals Disability Film Challenge.

Disabled people are too infrequently represented in popular media. When we are, however, our perspectives are often portrayed by those who do not have the benefit of authentic lived experience. These videos illustrate the breadth of talent and art disabled people have. We need better representation in media and what better way to achieve that than by asking us directly? This video showcase gives us the opportunity to tell our own story, a story filled with beauty, humor adventure and romance.

ACCESSIBILITY: All films will be captioned. The theater is wheelchair accessible, but there are limited spaces for wheelchairs, so please indicate if you will need this or any other accommodation to enjoy the film screening when you register to attend or contact us with questions or requests at DisabilityAccessibilityAction@gmail.com or by phone or text at ‪(484) 452-3250‬
