Within AUTODRIVE project EDI has developed fault-tolerant V2X gateway device (Vehicle-to-Everything gateway), enabling vehicles to communicate with each other on roads as well with road adjacent infrastructure equipment. The EDI V2X gateway implements different communication technologies and making technology stack redundancy such as ETSI ITS G5 – a stack of protocol family developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) using IEEE 802.11p (DSRC) based communication, LTE (4G) and custom TDMA LoRA based protocols. ...more
