As a South Asian womxn who immigrated to the United States at the age of 5, I understand how guilt and familial pressure can affect our decisions in life.

I also know how painful it can be to live a life you didn't choose for yourself.

Whether you need to make small tweaks in your day-to-day routine or you want to break out of your routine altogether, this course will help you lean into your own intuition and look at your goals practically and efficiently. 

'Not Your Beti' is an online course that includes video recordings, written exercises, meditations, and group coaching calls with like-minded South Asian womxn. You also get access to a Slack channel to deepen conversations with other students.

This is your chance to fight back against what you should be so you can create the life you truly love.

Module I: Healing Trauma and Finding Your Inner Voice, focuses on developing your sense of self-worth and provides you with self-healing tools you can rely on for the rest of your life. 
  • Task I, a video course on Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), teaches you a practical tool to uncover and heal your limiting beliefs.
     
  • Task II, Mantras for Self-Worth, is a second video course that teaches you easy meditation techniques and provides you with affirmations to affirm your self-worth. In this exercise, I give you the tools to define yourself as something other than the “perfect daughter,” “ideal sister,” “straight-A student,” and instead help you find the intrinsic worth in yourself, rather than proving your worth through the roles that you perform for others.
Module II: How to Set & Manifest Your Goals, gives you motivating and guiding questions to help you figure out what it is that you truly want in life. This module will help you create an outline for the goals and desires that you truly wish to set for yourself.
  • Task I: Artistic or Journaling Prompt: When was the last time you were truly content/happy?
     
  • Task II: Artistic or Journaling Prompt: Identify one specific, concrete area in your life that is not ideal right now or that you are struggling with.
     
  • Task III: Circle of Excellence Exercise: This video course will empower you with a manifestation and visualization exercise that you can use in any situation, no matter how large, to prepare you for your success in any endeavor.
 
Module III: Silencing the Doubt and Addressing your Inner Critic, teaches you how to deal with overwhelm when pursuing a goal. You'll learn to use your fear as a guide and how to decipher between valid concerns and limiting beliefs.
 
  • Task I: Fear Brain-Dump & Review: You will learn how to manage your fear and anxiety in a positive way by tackling limiting beliefs with NLP (neurolinguistic programming) practices.

     
  • Task II: Fear-Setting Exercise: My tweak on this famous exercise will show you how to anticipate and manage any of the fears and concerns regarding your goals. This task will help you approach your fears in a productive and meaningful way without getting overwhelmed.
     
Module IV: How to Follow Through with your Decisions, guides you through a step-by-step action plan to achieve the goals that you desire and provides inspiration and emotional guidance to allow yourself to be successful.
  • Task I: Build an Action Plan: You'll create a detailed action plan for the next few weeks so that you continue striving towards your goal even after this course is over.
     
  • Task II: Success-Setting Exercise: You will learn to dream big and to bring your greatest dreams within your own realm of personal success.
     
  • Task III: Being Full of Yourself: You will learn about how the South Asian culture and, for some of us, how being a Third Culture Kid, can impact us mentally and emotionally. This task provides inspiration to branch out while creating a deeper understanding of how culture impacts our lives.
Module V: Understanding the Dark Feminine, will teach you to embrace the sides of your feminity that aren't always encouraged in society.
 
  • Task I: Understanding the Dark Feminine Archetype The Dark Feminine is all about embracing the shadow side of femininity - and thus also embracing your shadow self. You'll learn why healing can't just be love and light and how to grow and learn about yourself through your shadows.
     
  • Task II: Pranayama to Build Intuition This Pranayama (Breathwork) exercise will clear your overthinking mind and help you connect to your deeper intuition. This exercise can be used for a lifetime, and even using it for 5 minutes can be incredibly helpful when you're spiraling.
     
  • Task III: Embracing Sacred Rage Our shadow side includes intense rage, anger, frustrated feelings of not being enough, sensuality, and the deep desire to protect our loved ones. Embracing these aspects of yourself allows you to view yourself as whole and show love to the side of you that isn't always encouraged in society.

About Roshni

Roshni is a self-worth coach and content creator.  
They are Gujrati, was born in Kenya, and migrated to the U.S. at the age of 5. As a third-culture kid, Roshni explores the dissonance between growing up in America, experiencing life as an immigrant, and navigating what it means to be a part of communities that don't always claim you.
