💡  UK invests in Responsible AI research led by Professor Sarvapali (Gopal) Ramchurn, #connecting stakeholders, #accelerate AI adoption, #spark innovation to improve our society I am proud to share that I and Connected Places Catapult have been working with a research group led by Professor Gopal @University of Southampton (https://lnkd.in/ehSrvXjd), who is one of the leading experts in AI. Responsible AI is an emerging field that focuses on the ethical, social, and environmental implications of artificial intelligence, as well as how to design and deploy AI systems that are aligned with human values and goals. The research group has recently received a significant funding from the UK government announed during London Tech Week (Sky News https://lnkd.in/euwE3QAu) to conduct cutting-edge research on Responsible AI, in collaboration with industry partners and stakeholders. The aim of the research is to accelerate the adoption of AI in various sectors, such as transport, healthcare, education, and energy, while ensuring that the benefits of AI are distributed fairly and equitably across society. The research will also contribute to the UK’s net-zero targets by exploring how AI can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate climate change.
