CVP and Chief Data Scientist at Microsoft

Over the past 6 years, I’ve worked with my incredible team at the AI for Good Lab and collaborated with an amazing network of organizations to use AI to advance progress around some of society's greatest challenges. This journey has culminated in the release of our book, which I’m excited to share will be available for purchase on April 9.  aka.ms/AIforGoodBook AI for Good: Applications in Sustainability, Humanitarian Action, and Health describes how we've applied AI to help build more resilient communities, improve health outcomes, conserve Earth's natural resources, and improve information integrity. Thank you to our publishers at Wiley for making this book a reality. All proceeds benefit the American Red Cross, furthering the reach of our mission. My hope is that this book spurs conversation and innovation around using AI for good in our ever-changing world. Please comment below or shoot me a DM if part of the book sparks your interest! #AIforGoodBook

Hello Juan, I started a Banned by LinkedIn group which now has over 400 members. Those who have joined managed to find my group out of frustration without knowing such a group existed. Is it possible that Account Recovery Services Division is being advised to never contradict A.I. ? I can personally testify that I was assessed 3 defective violations in which I was sent a link to a topic post I had made so I could see what I had done that was "wrong", except the topic post had already been removed by LinkedIn so the educational link went to a blank screen. Account Recovery refuses to remove the 3 violations so they will falsely remain on my record forever, and makes it that much easier to have my account permanently restricted in the future as a repeat offender. How about offering arbitration when a restricted member sincerely feels they either made a mistake, Linkedin made a mistake, or they want to rectify the situation so they can be reinstated. People of all diversities are having their lives turned upside down with no meaningful way to resolve their issue.

Talks about anticipatory action, climate risk financing, forgotten crises, and translating data into actionable knowledge. This is a personal account.

Is there a chance that Microsoft or Wiley could make this book available as an open access publication? It seems affordable for folks in the Northern hemisphere, but every dollar is an additional barrier for students, researchers, humanitarians, etc. in low income countries. Thx.
