Calvin Sprouse

This website is a placeholder until I can work on it. Until then please enjoy this list of links to some of my work. This past summer I had the pleasure of working on a Computational Biophysics REU simulating Microtube polarity sorting in the axon. As part of that project I produced some animations and data visualizations which can be found in the links below. This quarter I am joining two other CWU students in completing the assembly of a brand new Spectrograph for CWU's 0.6m research telescope. I will be leading the software front of the project in developing data reduction software and linking the spectrograph to our primary telescope control computer. Outside of research I helped run a summer camp for NESSP and was hired as a guide astronomer for a private rafting trip in August 2023. I am currently working with a private astrophotographer to provide technical support to a newly built 0.6m research telescope and will be maintaining the facility starting January. I am the Safety Officer for the CWU Wildcat Rocketry Team competing in the 2023 NASA Student Launch Challenge and will be leveraging 12 years competetive robotics experience through FIRST. Below you will find links to my LinkedIn, GitHub where I have many years of personal projects, most recent Resume, and some animations from my research. Thank you for taking the time to look at my website, (it's on my todo list to improve now that I have th cards). I can be reached at: calvin.sprouse@cwu.edu 425-260-2368
