Pharmacy Application Consultation - Berryden, Aberdeen

NHS Grampian is in consultation with Berryden Pharmacy (proposed name) regarding their proposed application for a new pharmacy to open in the Berryden Retail Park, Aberdeen. NHS Grampian has to decide whether granting of the application would be necessary or desirable in order to secure adequate provision of pharmaceutical services in the neighbourhood in which the premises are located by persons whose names are included in the pharmaceutical list.

 

Berryden Pharmacy, who wish to submit the application has defined the area to which they would be providing services to as: Cattofield Road to the north, George Street to the east, Huthcheon Street to the south and Westburn road to the west.

 

Berryden Pharmacy propose to provide the following services from their pharmacy should the application be granted:

Pharmacy First Plus (Diagnosis, Examination and Treatment of short term illness such as tonsillitis, ear infections and skin infections) 

Pharmacy First

Free Delivery Service

Free Prescription Collection

Blood pressure, heart rate and BMI Service

Shingles Treatment

Hayfever Treatment

Emergency Hormonal Contraception

Urinary Tract Infection Treatment

Inhaler Recycling

Insulin Pen Recycling

Smoking Cessation Service

Free Sanitary Towel Provision

Flu Vaccination Service

Malaria Prevention

Substance Misuse Service

Naloxone Supply

Hepatitis C Testing and Treatment

Medicine Waste Service

Gluten Free Food Service

Stoma Care

Emergency Supply of Medication (Unscheduled Care)

Dosette Box Provision

MAR Chart Provision (Medicine Administration Record)

Berryden Pharmacy propose to provide these services at the following times:

 

Monday to Friday: 9am – 8pm

Saturday and Sunday: 9am – 5pm

 

NHS Grampian and Berryden Pharmacy are undertaking a joint public consultation.  This consultation has two main purposes:

1. to assess the current provision of pharmaceutical services in the proposed area of Berryden and whether it is adequate; and

2. to establish the level of support from the residents in the proposed area of Berryden for the application

 

This consultation is for people who live in or around the Berryden area and runs from 14 January to 21st May 2025.
