Jamie Lee Curtis reveals cosmetic surgery

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis today revealed she has had cosmetic surgery - and insisted it had failed to make her look more beautiful.

"I’ve had a little lipo. I’ve had a little Botox. And you know what? None of it works. None of it," she told More magazine.

The A Fish Called Wanda star said she is now on a mission to shatter the myth of the body beautiful.

"I don’t have great thighs. I have very big breasts and a soft, fatty little tummy. And I’ve got back fat.

"People assume I’m walking around in little spaghetti-strap dresses. It’s the insidious Glam Jamie Jamie, the Perfect Jamie, the great figure, blah, blah, blah... It’s such a fraud. And I’m the one perpetuating it."

She posed for More in a sports bra and tight spandex briefs that reveal her real self, free from the movie star glamour.

The 43-year-old asked to be photographed without make-up, manicure, professionally done hair, jewellery or high fashion outfit. Instead she is shown in unforgiving light with a full-body straight-on shot.

She said showing her real body was part of her recovery for addiction problems, where counsellors have urged her to "expose more layers".

The actress is also known as Lady Haden-Guest, a title she received after her husband, film maker Christopher Guest, inherited his grandfather’s peerage in 1996.
