Steeped in history. The hotel retained lots of original features and had great character. Brilliant room, nicely and tastefully decorated. Bar closed at 10pm, but 11 would have been good in order to get that nightcap. Pleasant staff. Would definately stay again.

Beautiful hotel, we stayed in the junior suite, 303. Very spacious and conformal, large shower and lovely lounge area. Hotel is walking distance- a few minutes to the DLR station Poplar giving easy access to Canary Wharf and central London. The staff were lovely, kind, responsive and very welcoming, shout out to Ernest Knox who made us feel welcome, was alway la smiling and made sure knew where we were going. Breakfast was fresh, well prepared and the restaurant area had a lovely atmosphere. We would absolutely return and high recommend this hotel.

Fabulous room

This hotel is fabulous. Had a lovely surprise when we saw our room, it had a mezzanine floor and lovely features. Probably the most unique room I’ve ever stayed in. Absolutely loved it and definitely will stay at this hotel again.
