ASIA VIRTUAL EXPOSURE SERIES - VIETNAM MARKET RESEARCH 2021
Dear VNUK students,

School of Gumption, in collaboration with VNUK and GCOMM Vietnam, is organizing Asia Virtual Exposure Series - Vietnam Market Research ( AVES - Market Research), powered by Singapore National Youth Council (NYC). This program offers Singapore tertiary students and Vietnamese university students an opportunity to learn from relevant Vietnam industrial experts to conduct market entry study for Singapore businesses and startups that are interested in the Vietnam market.

You are cordially invited to apply for this program as a student consultant. You will work in a group of Singaporean and Vietnamese students, mentored by Vietnam market research firm (GCOMM), to conduct a market entry study for Singapore businesses/startups according to their market study request.

Benefits

By participating in this program, you will gain global ready skills by collaborating with Singapore peers using digital tools, as well as learn business and market research skills under the guidance of experienced industrial mentors. This will also be a great opportunity for you to build a network with Singapore businesses/startups that might consider hiring Vietnamese youth for their market expansion.

A certificate of achievement and a pay out of 200 SGD (Converted to VND based on the  exchange rate of 16,500 VND per 1 SGD) will be awarded to you upon the completion of market study report and full attendance of all the learning days. (*)

Commitment
. Fully participate in 4 learning days and final presentation for a total estimated duration of 32 hours
. Carry out the research project including meeting the research mentor for an estimated of 18 hours over 6 weeks

(*) The payout is estimated based on the rate of 4 SGD/hour. Absence from the learning days or inactive participation during the research project will lead to a partial deduction  from the full amount.

 Project briefing & soft skill development: team collaboration (School of Gumption) – 1.5h
 Lecture session: Research proposal (GCOMM/Guest speaker) – 1.5h
 Meeting the business clients (Business Clients /Industrial expert) – 1.5h
 Group work: Project planning (School of Gumption) – 1.5h
Followed by self-directed desk/field research activities (11.07.2021 – 16.07.2021)

2. Day 2: (Full day – online) - 17/07/2021 (08:00 - 1130, 13:00 - 16:30)(Vietnam Time Zone)
 Soft skill development: Develop compassion through active listening skills(School of Gumption) – 1.5h
 Lecture session: Research Proposal (GCOMM/Guest speaker) – 1.5h
 Meeting the business clients – 1h
 Meeting Industry Mentor – 1h
 Group work: Desk / Field research planning (School of Gumption) – 1h
Followed by self-directed desk/field research activities (18.07.2021 – 30.07.2021)

3. Day 3: (Full day – online) - 31/07/2021 (08:00 - 11:30, 13:00 - 16:30)(Vietnam Time Zone)
 Soft skill development: Emotional resilience skills (School of Gumption) – 1.5h
 Lecture session: Research proposal (GCOMM/Guest speaker) – 1.5h
 Meeting the business clients  – 1h
 Meeting Industry Mentor – 1h
 Group work: Desk / Field research planning (School of Gumption) – 1h
Followed by self-directed desk/field research activities (01.08.2021 – 13.08.2021)

4. Day 4: (Half day – online) - 14/08/2021 (08:00 - 12:15)(Vietnam Time Zone)
 Soft skill development – Presentation and communication skills (GCOMM) – 1.5h
 Presentation rehearsal and feedback by project mentor (GCOMM/ School of Gumption) – 2.5h
Followed by presentation fine-tuning (15.08.2021 –  20.08.2021)

5. Day 5: (Half day – online) - 21/08/2021 (08:00 - 11:00)(Vietnam Time Zone)
 Presentation to Business Clients (3h)
