  • AgSkilled is an industry-led training strategy by the NSW Government to upskill and better prepare the agricultural workforce for fast-moving change driven by industry innovation, research and technology through vocational education and training (VET), across the agricultural plant-growing and livestock industry sectors. 


    Agskilled is funding some courses for eligible participants – these include AQF3 Chemical Accreditation, Pregnancy Testing, Control Weeds and AQF4 Chemical Risk Management  

    To be eligible for funding you must meet the below criteria and agree to the program terms and conditions.

  • Section 1: Eligibility

  • I am currently employed or seeking employment in the identified agricultural plant-growing and livestock industry sectors, or

    • primary producers (e.g. farmers/growers), or
    • related on-farm employees (e.g. farm workers), or
    • contractors providing specialised/technical on-farm services (e.g. contract machinery operators), or
    • researchers, subject to evidence that the training provides a clear benefit to industry.
  • Please note, students can only obtain AgSkilled funding once for the competencies undertaken.

  • Letter of Support

    As part of the application process you will need to provide a letter of support from your employer or an industry representative/association. The Letter of Support must contain:  

    • Role and/or interest in the identified agricultural industry sectors,  
    • Relevance of AgSkilled training to the applicants current/future role/interest,  
    • Projected/expected farming practice change as a result of AgSkilled training.

    Please note if you are self employed or manage your own property you will still need to provide a letter of support, but it can be written by yourself.

  • The Unique Student Identifier or USI is a reference number made up of 10 numbers and letters that:

    • creates a secure online record of your recognised training and qualifications gained in Australia, even from different training organisations
    • will give you access to your training records and transcripts
      can be accessed online, anytime and anywhere
    • is free and easy to create and
    • stays with you for life

    If you don't have a USI you will not receive your qualification or statement of attainment.

    Your USI will give you access to an online record of the training you have done since 1 January 2015. You will also be able to produce a comprehensive transcript of your training. This can be used when applying for a job, seeking a credit transfer or demonstrating pre-requisites when undertaking further training.

  • Consent to use and disclosure of personal information

    Understand and agree that, under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator (Data Provision Requirements) Instrument 2020, ChemCERT Training Group is required to collect personal information (information or an opinion about me), collected from me, my parent or guardian, such as my name, Unique Student Identifier, date of birth, contact details, training outcomes and performance, sensitive personal information (including my ethnicity or health information) and other enrolment and training activity-related information (together Personal Information) and disclose that Personal Information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER).  


    My Personal Information (including the personal information contained on my enrolment form and my training activity data) may be used or disclosed by ChemCERT Training Group for statistical, regulatory and research purposes. ChemCERT Training Group may disclose my personal information for these purposes to third parties, including:  

    • School – if I am a secondary student undertaking VET, including a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship;  
    • Employer – if I am enrolled in training paid by an employer;  
    • Commonwealth and State or Territory government departments and authorised agencies, including the NSW Department of Education (Department);  
    • NCVER 
    • Organisations (including the Department) conducting student surveys; and  
    • Researchers. 

     
    Personal Information disclosed to NCVER may be used or disclosed for the following purposed:  

    • Issuing a VET Statement of Attainment or VET Qualification, and populating Authenticated VET Transcripts;  
    • Facilitation statistics and research relating to education, including surveys;   
    • Understanding how the WET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information; and  
    • Administering VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation.  

    I may receive an NCVER student survey which may be administered by an NCVER employee, agent or third party contractor. I may opt out of the survey at the time of being contacted.  

    NVCER will collect, hold, use and disclose my Personal Information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the VET Data Policy and all NCVER policies and protocols (including those published on NCVER’s website www.ncver.edu.au).  

    The Department may disclose my Personal Information to other Australian government agencies, including those located in States and Territories outside New South Wales.  

    The above government agencies may use my Personal Information for any purpose relating to the exercise of their government functions, including but not limited to the evaluation and assessment of my training, the determination of my eligibility to receive subsidies training or for any Fee Exemptions or Concessions. My Personal Information may also be disclosed to other third parties if required by law.  

    I also acknowledge and agree that the Department may contact me by telephone, email or post, during or after I have creased subsidised training with ChemCERT Training Group for the purposes of evaluating and assessing my subsidised training.

    Please note that once we receive the above information ChemCERT will be in contact with you via email with course location and date options. 


    When the course date/location has been selected, we will then lodge your funding application. This application stage may take up to 25 working days.  


    Using the contact details provided, Agskilled might contact you to confirm your eligibility and enrolment. 


    ChemCERT will then notify you if you are eligible and to confirm your course date.
