Joining SMU Business Intelligence & Analytics club community gives you an opportunity to hone your technical skills by solving real-world projects and meet professionals in the industry.

This contest contains 4 challenges for Data Associate Programme (Sem2) Recruitment 2020. You are given 1 week+ (end time is 6 Oct 2020 2359hr) to complete the challenges.

You can complete the challenges in Python 3, R or Java. However, do take note that the main coding language used in DAP is Python.

Despite a difficulty level assigned to each challenge, do attempt ALL of them.

Even if you are not complete a particular challenge, please write down your train of thoughts of solving the challenge in the comments. Feel free to write down pseudo-codes in the comments as well. It is alright to submit incorrect/not-optimized code.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
