After a life-altering spinal cord injury, I proved that a wheelchair could take me places others never would have dared imagine. I was injured in 1989 while tumbling at the age of 16. I sustained a C6-7 spinal cord injury which left me paralyzed from the chest down. I work with an international non-profit organization to ensure our workers stay healthy emotionally, physically, and spiritually while working cross-culturally. I am also a contributing writer at Bard Care.
