The aim of the GRN is to be a focal point for early career faculty, practitioners and doctoral students interested in new thinking about global issues. Members come from a diverse range of backgrounds and higher education institutions. Our common goal is that of collaboration, which is needed more than ever as the greatest problems of the day transcend narrow fields of legal practice and the traditional divides of public/private and domestic/international law.

The GRN provides a new kind of collaborative space, facilitating long-term friendships, creative thinking and genuine career support. Members are invited to connect across national and institutional borders, and to share their experiences in life, study and practice. The Network is for exceptional scholars but it is not elitist. It is inspiring but not intimidating. It will provide you with an abundance of opportunities and perspectives that we hope will enrich you and your work:

Think Tank

Our members can collaborate on topics of their choosing at the GRN Think Tank. Reports will be produced, focusing on insights, strategies and solutions to specific regulatory issues. Currently there are three programmes: Animal Law, International Economic Law, and Environmental Law. We will be looking to partner with NGOs and government research bodies over time.

Free webinars run throughout the year by senior academics.

Online PhD/DPhil Writing Group

For PhD/DPhil candidates at any stage of their candidature who want to join a regular writing group. Each group will meet online at a monthly facilitated meeting to give one another constructive feedback on pre-circulated work. Spaces are limited to five per group.  

Events and Workshops

Each year we will sponsor an exclusive event in London, and be partnering with faculties and members abroad to host additional events. Our next London event is on 1st October 2019 - you will receive an invitation in the summer.
