This endeavor will be active through November 11th, 2021 - Shining Light on Humility, Happiness, Hard Work and Hope through a Weekly DocuSeries in one on one conversations with EOD and Public Safety Bomb Techs!

Past and Current Work Examples from The Blue Falcon Podcast (my personal Podcast/YouTube Channel I started in 2018) 

The EOD Community has lost 3 of our family members to suicide - just these past 3 weeks alone. There's a sickness spreading amongst our ranks, destroying lives and communities; and it's gaining momentum.

A friend of mine, also an EOD Tech, committing suicide last year on Valentine's day. I've lost friends to suicide throughout my life, as I'm sure many of you have as well.

Maybe some of you also have this feeling in your gut lately that something has to be done. But what do we do? What can we do?

It's not just Veteran Suicide plaguing society. I've had thousands of conversations the past 2 years with people from all walks of life that have reached out to me. All different kinds of concerns, "facts", beliefs, opinions, etc. I learned a very broad perspective on how so many people can have such different tragedies across the world. From ocean pollution to domestic violence in the household and everything between, there's no shortage of evil for us to tackle together. So last week I came to this conclusion: There has always been and will always be evil and terrible things on this earth.

This doesn't give us an excuse to accept complacency though. I will not accept to be complacent at least and I never did. I see more people looking for solutions, for hope, direction, etc.

There's been talk within the EOD community for months now about how awesome it'd be to have an EOD Documentary/Series featuring interviews with EOD Technicians from the Korean War all the way up to active duty.

Then it hit me. My current situation in life isn't exactly the best on paper. In fact, if there were check boxes for events leading a person further down the blackhole of suicide, I'd have several of them marked right now bc of recent events-things just happen sometimes in life.

I refuse to go down that path now- though I've been there many times. 

I've even seen the edge of it twice.

Hope is of the essence. The feeling a person gets, regardless of how shitty it was today, yesterday, last year, etc., is dependent on hope. How does a person attain "hope". Simply put - purpose.

I knew I wanted to create this DocuSeries for the EOD Community as soon as I was tagged in a Facebook Group Post discussing what it would take to achieve a quality film telling our story and history. 

As an EOD Tech, Veteran and Citizen.

I'm going to show Veterans and world alike, anything is possible through God. That also requires me to work hard, have humility, enjoy the happy moments and never losing hope.

First Item on the list is transportation. Most of the time for this project will be spent on the road. Utilizing this as a strength can have a force multiplier effect for the entire project and journey. We'll be traveling across the US in "Meet the Fockers"-style Large family RV. Not sure cousin Eddie's RV can pull this off although we did appreciate the offer!

 

We're shopping for a Class A Diesel RV, new or certified used. This is where a significant portion of the costs come into play. I'm not a fan of doing something half-ass. And if we want to make a big impact, we have to match the intent with our actions. And think about it... How cool would it be for friends, family, veterans and supporters be able to have a spot for a few hours or day on the road with myself and the documentary crew (or people could take turns helping be the crew? that'd be even more awesome).

I'm already in the talks with companies for sponsorships and open to the idea of collaborating with businesses, non-profits and individuals if it works great for all parties involved.

I'll also be recording and LiveStreaming episodes of The Blue Falcon Podcast along the way with other Veterans, friends, strangers and maybe even some celebrities. Who knows!?! This will be completely separate from the EOD DocuSeries which will only have clips published along the way until the Premiere on November 11th, 2022 (Veterans' Day).
