Support & Guidance

If you have questions about human rights policies, have experienced discrimination on campus, or wish to submit a request for vaccine accommodation based on religious beliefs or other protected grounds recognized under the Alberta Human Rights act, the Office of Human Rights, Diversity and Equity can guide and support you. Please feel free to contact the Office of Human Rights, Diversity and Equity at [email protected] or visit their website for additional information.

Emotional Support

If you need emotional support at this time, we recommend reaching out to either Wellness and Psychological (at MacEwan) or Peer Support (at SAMU). Both of these resources are free of charge.

Peer Support is a volunteer-based supportive listening program where students can share their concerns and gain access to professional resources in a supportive and confidential environment. To contact Peer Support, please follow **this link.**

Wellness and Psychological offers trauma-informed therapeutic support in the form of individual therapy, group therapy, and workshops. They are also able to facilitate academic accommodations, if this is something you need assistance with. To contact Wellness and Psychological, please follow this link.
