Mr. Don Mashak

Rt 1 Box 231
Albertville MN 55301

Mr. Mashak,

I received your letter dated February 24, 2020 and I appreciate your concern regarding the security and
integrity of the elections; specifically, the voting equipment. As I stated in response to you on the same
concern (December 13, 2016), the state of Minnesota has checks and balances in place to prevent
potential hacking or tampering with the voting equipment. Technology and protocols have improved since
2000 (the video you referred to) with further enhancements since the 2016 election.

The Office of Secretary of State and counties within Minnesota are responsible for the testing, coding, and
safeguarding the voting equipment meeting stringent standards. The City of Minneapolis and all local
jurisdictions further test to validate the accuracy of the voting equipment as prescribed in law. As such, I do
not have additional information to address your concerns. Inquiries should be directed to the county and
state level. They can provide you with information regarding the security and integrity of the elections.
Relative to Minneapolis, you can contact the Hennepin County Elections. You may also contact the Wright
County Auditor as your residence is Albertville.

Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns.

Sincerely,

Grace WC'H;;niarowicz (ERA
