Learn more Tikkun Olam at TBE

May 2025

Dear TBE Community,

As we move into the month of May, we find ourselves deep into the season of counting the Omer - the sacred practice of marking each day between Passover and Shavuot, from liberation to purpose. Counting the Omer teaches us that real change happens one day, one step, one act at a time. As we take this journey, we are called to do the daily work of justice—building a world where dignity, compassion, and hope take root and flourish. Every day matters. Every action counts. Let’s keep taking that next step, together.

L'shalom,

Sandy Aronson

Director of Tikkun Olam Initiatives and Partnerships

P.S. There are a lot of opportunities to repair the world this month. If this email is getting cut off or not displaying correctly, click here to view in browser.

Chavilot Tipol Collection: A thank you from TBE's CRJ

Thank you to all the congregants who contributed to TBE Congregants for Reproductive Justice's Chavilot Tipol collection. Because of this generosity, we were once again able to create 150 post-abortion care kits for the patients of HealthQ Lawrence. We are especially grateful to the Sisterhood, who collected donations at their Passover Seder, and to the Havayah teens (pictured) who worked hard to assemble the kits. This joint effort is a meaningful way to show our support for HeathQ’s patients, healthcare providers and advocates for reproductive justice.
