ABOUT SUMMER CAMP

We have your summer covered with fun, educational camp experiences! Our expert educators at each Wildlife Conservation Society zoo and aquarium provide campers with unforgettable experiences. Summer camp includes age-appropriate hands-on activities, up-close animal demonstrations, and time to explore nature and exhibits. Your child will engage in tons of educational fun that will build on their innate love for our wild planet.


Wildlife Camp Online

Wildlife Camp Online allows your camper to enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at the animals and exhibits at all five of our NYC parks! During this virtual experience, your campers will enjoy up-close animal encounters and deep dives, meet wild animal keepers and scientists, connect with the natural world! We've built upon the collaborative nature of our virtual camp to provide even more opportunities to participate in cool science, take conservation action, and of course, have FUN in an active learning environment. Pre-K & K Grades

Who's Who in the Zoo?

Calling all animal helpers! During this half day virtual experience, campers will try on different animal careers through games, live animal encounters, and exclusive access to our Zoos and Aquarium. From ambassador to zookeeper, and many jobs in between, we'll have a blast learning and discovering new things!

1st — 5th Grades

Week of Wildlife: Wild By Design

How do you build a shark exhibit at an aquarium? Or make it safe for animals to cross the road in India? Campers will explore how scientists and engineers build and rebuild habitats to protect wildlife in our zoos and around the world through games, hands-on activities, and exclusive access to our 5 NYC parks!

1st — 5th Grades

Week of Wildlife: ZooMazing Race

Across the globe, animals and humans share some extreme homes! We’ll race around the world to visit these unique habitats and investigate wild interactions, from penguins in Patagonia to jaguars in the jungle. As we trek up mountains and swim in deep trenches, we’ll discover how humans can help animals and learn from them, too, through hands-on activities, up-close encounters, and exclusive visits to our parks!

1st — 5th Grades

Little Zoo Vets

Ever wonder how to perform a dental checkup on a tiger or examine the eyes of a snake? Head Veterinarian, Dr. John Sykes, will share how he cares for the animals in the zoo! Each virtual session includes live interactions where campers will examine animals’ eyes, blood, teeth and more!

Offered from 3:00p - 4:00p Monday-Friday during the weeks of 7/19 and 7/26 as an add-on to ZooMazing Race.

6th — 8th Grades

Global Conservation

Your camper will travel the world to learn about crucial conservation programs led by Wildlife Conservation Society scientists. Your camper will meet experts in the field and explore how they use technology, work with local communities, and campaign to protect wildlife and wild places!
