SEASON'S GREETINGS!
During the holidays, there is no better time to reflect on the dedication and commitment of our members, volunteers, community partners and supporters.

To our members, many of you do more than is required. You are the first in and last out at community shifts. You are organizing training events that lift up our League members to be trained volunteers. You are supporting our day-to-day operations for meeting logistics, membership engagement events and balancing our budget. You are providing a listening ear, mentorship, and guidance. And some of you are creating JLP processes that may not take shape for a few years.

To our community friends and partners, we appreciate your support of the JLP mission. Your partnership with our League allows us to connect with more members of our community and spread our reach.

As you enjoy the festivities with friends and family, as you give and receive presents, as you gather to celebrate, please accept our best wishes to you and your families. And our heartfelt thank-you for all that you do to further the mission of JLP.

Cheers to an enjoyable holiday season and a Happy New Year!

JLP BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND MANAGEMENT TEAM
The holidays mean many things different people. We asked members of our Board and Management Team to reflect on the holiday season and provide a sentence or two on what the holidays mean to them, a favorite tradition or memory and/or their hope for the New Year.
  • My kids are now 3 and 4. I wish I could bottle their awe and excitement during this time…It’s the magic of the season! Kelly Kaysonepheth, President
  • The holidays mean spending time with friends and family. One of my family’s favorite holiday traditions is getting hot chocolate and driving around looking at Christmas lights around town. Ashley Bunch, Executive Vice President
  • I love taking time at the end of the year to reflect on the fun adventures I had with family and friends! Chrissy Henderson, Secretary
  • My favorite holiday tradition is sipping hot chocolate watching The Santa Clause with just the lights from the Christmas tree on. Stephanie Blankinship, Director of Finance
  • The best gift during the holiday season is spending more time with my family and friends. Stephanie Viboch, Director at Large
  • The holiday season typically means more time spent on traditions with my family, which we all thoroughly enjoy! Laura Sharp, Director at Large
  • My favorite holiday tradition is making new memories with those I love. This year we explored the Christmas markets in Switzerland. Jessica Hosain, Director at Large
  • One of my best memories this year was having my brother and sister-in-law visiting, playing Settlers of Catan. The thing I’m looking forward to for the holidays is spending time with family and making sauce and meatballs. Ashley Montanaro, Director at Large
  • The holidays mean spending time with the ones you love and reflecting on the past year to determine what you want your next year to look like. Amy Heiserman, Bylaws/Parliamentarian
  • My favorite part about the holidays is going home to Iowa and hopefully playing in the snow. Shelly Myers, Communications & Marketing VP
  • To me, the holidays mean family...after the hustle and bustle of Christmas prep, having the opportunity to slow things down from the crazy day-to-day, and appreciate the opportunity to be around the ones I love, especially extended family I don't get to see as often. Jennifer Willis-Jost, Administrative VP
  • The holidays allow for guiltless indulgence in all the best things in life: family, laughter, food, celebration, gratitude, and love. Kelly Larsen, Community VP
  • My favorite tradition takes place on Christmas Eve when we load up a couple of vehicles with family, our dog, blankets, and hot chocolate and drive up to the Moon Valley neighborhood to check out the holiday lights and music during its annual Luminaria event. Katie Stephens, Training VP
