Get Active Expo
The Get Active Expo is a free four-week program from Sunday 16 March to Sunday 13 April 2025.
The 2025 Expo is full of 'come and try' style sessions designed to showcase a range of sport, recreation and wellbeing opportunities available throughout the City of Maribyrnong.
There are activities offered for everyone to enjoy including infants (0-2), toddlers (2-5), children (5-12), young people (12-18), adults and older adults (18-55+). We also include 'women only' sessions and 'all abilities' sessions.

Registrations
Registrations are now open and you can register for any program in three easy steps.

Get Active Expo Event Passport
Collect your Get Active Expo Event Passport from Council's Customer Service team, RecWest Footscray, RecWest Braybrook or Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre.
If you would prefer a digital passport, take a selfie/photo at five Get Active Expo sessions you attend. Once you have five photos at different sessions email the photos to active@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au with the Subject: Get Active Expo Digital Passport.
Don't forget to take your passport with you to every program you participate in and be sure to redeem your passport sticker. Collect at least five passport stickers and once the Get Active Expo concludes, send your passport into the Get Active team to go into the draw to win some great prizes and to receive a complimentary five visit pass to RecWest Footscray* and the Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre*.
You can return your passport in one of the following ways.

*Five visit passes to RecWest Footscray and Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre are valid from 14 April to 15 May 2025 only.
Five visit pass to RecWest Footscray and Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre
Once you have returned your Get Active Expo Event Passport you can access the five visit pass to RecWest Footscray and Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre after the Get Active Expo has finished for one month from 14 April to 15 May 2025.
- Collect 5 stickers on your Get Active Expo Event Passport by attending 5 separate sessions (or follow the instructions for the Digital Passport).
- Please create a Free Guest Profile in the RecWest Footscray portal by clicking here. If you already have a profile, you just need to login and make sure your information is current.
- If you don’t have a profile, click ‘Join or book now!’. Then select ‘RecWest Footscray’ and select ‘Casual Bookings/Holiday Program’ at the top of the page. Select ‘Create a guest account’ and complete your details.
- Once you’ve created a profile, email recwestfootscray@ymca.org.au with the subject line ‘Get Active Expo – 5 visit pass to RecWest Footscray’. Include in the email:
- A photo of your completed Get Active Expo Event Passport with 5 stickers on it.
- Confirmation that you have created a profile or already have a profile.
If you are not able to email a photo of your completed Get Active Expo Event Passport you can also take it into RecWest Footscray after the 13th April. If you have returned your Get Active Expo passport to the Active Maribyrnong team, we will pass this on to RecWest Footscray.
- Collect 5 stickers on your Get Active Expo Event Passport by attending 5 separate sessions (or follow the instructions for the Digital Passport).
- Please create a Free Guest Profile in the MAC portal by clicking here. If you already have a profile, you just need to login and make sure your information is current.
- If you don't have a profile, click 'Become a member of create a free guest profile' and select 'Create Free Guest Profile'. Select 'Create Free Profile for Casual Visits' and complete your details.
- Once you’ve created a profile, email MACmembership@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au with the subject line ‘Get Active Expo – 5 visit pass to MAC’. Include in the email:
- A photo of your completed Get Active Expo Event Passport with 5 stickers on it
- Confirmation that you have created a profile or already have a profile
- If you would like a 5 visit pass for group exercise or a 5 visit pass for Sauna, Spa, Steam and Pool. Please note, you can only choose one.
Get Active Expo Closing Event
To mark the conclusion of the 2025 Get Active Expo the Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre will be hosting a free "Dive In" Movie Celebration to watch Space Jam: A New Legacy.
Come along and celebrate all the goals you've achieved during the Expo while watching a family friendly movie from the pool or relax in the grandstand.

Movie: Space Jam - A New Legacy.
LeBron James and his son, Dom, find themselves trapped in a virtual world. In order to get out, LeBron must team up with the Looney Tunes Squad and defeat an algorithm in a basketball match.

Frequently Asked Questions
Please cancel your ticket so someone else can attend. There is a link to cancel your ticket in the confirmation email you received. Otherwise if you can’t find your confirmation email send us an email active@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au and we can cancel your spot.
To select a different date when on the registration page, under the heading ‘Date’ click the date and it will have a drop down of the other dates you can select. For each date make sure you click the + symbol under ‘Number of Tickets’ to add a ticket to your cart.
In order to be eligible for the 5 visit passes to Maribrynong Aquatic Centre (MAC) and RecWest Footscray you need to attend 5 sessions throughout the Get Active Expo. Collect a sticker at each session or follow the instructions for the digital passport. Once you have 5 stickers on your passport return the passport to us and you will be eligible to access the 5 visit passes to MAC and RecWest Footscray from 14th April to 15th May.
You can also email a photo of the completed passport to active@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au.

Yes, you can. While we recommend joining as early as possible to get the most out of the full 4-week program, you can register for a session throughout the Get Active Expo. You can join at any time, as long as there's still space available, whether it's after one session or just before the last one.
