WestJet Vacations Travel Protection Plan

WestJet Vacations Travel Protection Plan allows for increased flexibility with changes and cancellations and provides peace of mind for your clients. The Travel Protection Plan is available for WestJet Vacations destinations in Canada, the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Travel Protection Plan rates per date and destinations:
Earn 15% commission when you add Travel Protection Plan to your client’s booking.
Please note: Travel Protection Plan must be purchased at the time of booking by all guests sharing room accommodation and is non-refundable.

Terms and conditions:
- Travel Protection Plan is commissionable at 15%.
- Travel Protection Plan must be purchased at the time of booking by all guests sharing a room accommodation and is non-refundable.
- Travel Protection Plan is not available for WestJet Vacations group bookings.
- Travel Protection Plan is not available for Sandals, Beaches and Grand Pineapple Beach Resorts.
- Car rentals, private transfers, excursions and other attractions are non-refundable.
- WestJet dollars can be used towards payment of the base package price or land-only booking of an eligible WestJet Vacations booking, available through WestJet’s Contact Centre. WestJet dollars cannot be applied against taxes, fees or charges.

Booking change
One-time Change Fee Waived: Changes to departure dates, destinations, room categories or occupancy can be made up until seven (7) days before departure for all destinations, subject to hotel and flight availability. Change(s) in price may be applicable and residual amounts are forfeited.
Name change
One-time Free Name Change: Name changes can be made up until seven (7) days prior to departure. One-time free name change does not apply to single-occupancy hotel rooms.
Booking cancellation
Cancellations made twenty-one (21) or more days before departure: on vacation packages, or before the first hotel’s check-in on land-only bookings will be refunded to the original form of payment.
Mexico and the Caribbean
Cancellations made between twenty (20) days and before three (3) for Mexico and the Caribbean: will result in a 100% refund to WestJet dollars. In case of cancellation, WestJet dollars issued can only be applied towards a new vacation package after a 15-day waiting period.
Mexico and the Caribbean Cancellations less than three (3) before departure: funds are forfeited if cancelled less than three (3) days before departure for destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean.
Canada and the United States
Cancellations made between twenty (20) days and seven (7) days before departure for Canada and the United States: will result in a 100% refund to WestJet dollars. In case of cancellation, WestJet dollars issued can only be applied towards a new vacation package after a 15-day waiting period. Cancellations to theme park tickets 20 days or less before departure are non-refundable and all funds will be forfeited.
Canada and the United States less than seven (7) nights before departure: funds are forfeited if cancelled within seven (7) days before departure for destinations in Canada and the United States.
Hurricane/Tropical Storm Travel Protection Plan Policy
If a hurricane or tropical storm travel advisory is issued for your clients’ origin or destination on their travel dates, you may change or cancel their reservation at any time before the first scheduled flight and no change or cancellation fee will be charged.
For hurricane or tropical storm date changes, all travel must be completed within one year and the package value must be the same; if the value of the new package increases, the difference in price is applicable.
For hurricane or tropical storm cancellations, the full value of your client’s vacation package is refunded to WestJet dollars. WestJet dollars expire one year from the date of issuance.
