Melton Night Market

Will any roads be affected by the event?
To ensure a safe event environment, throughout the events a partial closure will be in place on McKenzie Street,  from the pedestrian crossing at the Melton Library & Learning Hub through to the Palmerston Street In addition, reduced speed signage will be in place along Palmerston Street. Detours will be in place.

Carpark access will be maintained opposite Melton Library & Learning Hub.  

Can we bring our own food, chairs and picnic rugs? 
Yes, you are encouraged to bring your own chairs and picnic rugs to enjoy on the grass areas on the event site. You are permitted to bring your own food and beverages (no alcohol) but don’t miss out on the chance to pick up a meal locally or experience some new flavours from the event food vendors! Seating will be available throughout the event site.

Can I drink alcohol at the market?
No. Alcohol is only permitted within licensed venues, and can not be brought or consumed at the market.

Are dogs allowed at the market?
Yes, friendly pooches on a leash are always welcome in Melton Town Centre.

How do I get to the market?

Is there parking available at the market?
Yes. There is plenty of free parking on the north and south of High Street, Bakery Square, McKenzie street and surrounding streets.

Is there an ATM at the market?
There are ATMs in the surrounding streets of the event. The closest is an ANZ ATM that can be found on the corner of High street and Palmerston Street - 50 Palmerston St, Melton.

Will there be photos taken?
A Council photographer will be taking some happy snaps on the day! 
We’ll share these on our social media and websites. If you’re a bit camera shy and don’t want your photo taken, just let our photographer and/or event staff know on the day.

How do I get my photo that was taken?
Email venturemelton@melton.vic.gov.au with the time, location and description of the image and we will do our best!

Can I bring my drone?
Melton Town Centre is a no-fly zone for private drones.  For the safety of the community, it is illegal to fly drones over a crowd without a CASA permit. For further information on drones at public events please visit the CASA website.
