This form is prepared to collect requests for the English program of the "Mathematics with Games Workshop for Children" by Can Gürses Academy, which will be held online and will continue for sixteen weeks.
It is intended for students from 2nd to 8th grade and is going to be conducted online in English.
Purpose of the Program:
-To enable children to understand the importance, meaning and benefits of mathematics at the earliest stage
-Presenting the most basic concept of mathematics to children in ways they can easily perceive (through games)
-To enable them to form their own ideas on mathematical concepts which they experience through activities
-To introduce children to the fun aspects of mathematics and change the misconception that the mathematics is difficult or hard to understand
-To establish the first steps of scientific and mathematical thinking
Some topics in the Content of the Program:
-Geometry, Symmetries and Spatial Thinking
-Logic and Algorithm
-Topology
-Number Sequences and Patterns
-Probability and Life
-Game Theory (The Logic of Competitive and Cooperative Games) and Life
and similar themes will be introduced to children by giving them experience with simulations and games.
