Research Unit for Indigenous Language manuscript project 

This project is funded by the ​​Language Data Commons of Australia and managed by the Research Unit for Indigenous Language, working on the Nyingarn project. It aims to increase the amount of textual material available to support work on Australian Indigenous languages.

Please fill out this form to apply for funding to create digital text versions of manuscripts that can be made openly available.

Work will be calculated by hours, negotiable, depending on the length of the manuscript, paid at Research Assistant rates ($45 per hour). Each successful proposal will be paid by putting you on as a casual at the University of Melbourne.

There are three rolling deadlines for submitting these proposals: February 15th, March 8th, and April 12th. You will be notified of the result as soon as possible after the deadline.
