Stirred: An Enemies-to-Lovers, Small Town Romance (Maynards of Severton Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 282 ratings

Enemies. Foes. Until one night changed them forever.

The small town of Severton doesn’t have many secrets. One of the few is exactly why Scott Maynard, bar owner and search and rescue hero, refuses to speak, acknowledge or even breathe the same air as Keren Leigh.

Keren has been Severton’s dentist for far too long and now she’s ready to move to the city, escaping the war with Scott and broadening her dating circle in the hope of a future that doesn’t just consist of evenings at home alone with a book, ancient pyjamas and a glass of wine.

All it takes is a one-night ceasefire for all of her plans and their decade-long feud to be stirred up. But they’re not the only ones to be shaken: Severton has acquired its own arsonist and other secrets are being exposed, leaving a completely different battle to be fought.

Warning: contains alpacas, retired ladies who make their own gin and have an eye for younger gentlemen plus an alternate use for a bath.

This steamy small town enemies to lovers romance is part of the Severton Search & Rescue series but can be read as a stand-alone.

I really loved this book and the previous one. I like how Ms Dyer doesn’t have the two protagonists “break up” towards the end to only realise that they shouldn’t have. Instead it’s more realistic by showing how the characters deal with challenging situations together. I love Scott and Karen. I love how they melded together once they realised how important they were to each other. Great book.

Plenty of chemistry in this friends to lovers story. Keren and Scott each believe the other dislikes them and their back and forth fighting banter is highlighting their chemistry even more. Great small town and close knit family and friendship bonds.

    Severton Search and Rescue #2
    Annie Dyer
This is the story I needed. Full of fun, banter and belly laughs. Ms Dyer always delivers with her heartfelt romances. There is nothing not to love about small town Severton and its quirky characters, even grumpy bar owner Scott. A book I happily lost myself in, I totally enjoyed the immersion!
I enjoyed how the Maynards and Callaghan’s were intertwined through Vanessa and Gran but are still completely separate stories. While this is the second book in the series and has the same base characters this is Scott and Keren’s story. It is a stand-alone frenemies to lovers novel with hea.
Scott and Keren are successful business owners and strong characters. They love to live their lives. There are a few bumpy patches on their journey that make the characters endearing and real.
I received an arc of this book.
5 stars all the way. Loved it!

I'm thrilled that we got Keren and Scott's book early in this series so that we didn't end up waiting all series for it. These two have some history that means they constantly snipe and dig at one another but when they put their "weapons" down for one night, the chemistry and heat between them can't be denied. But can they trust that their truce will last...

    5.0 out of 5 stars Scott 😍😍😍

I was ready for this book before I even made it halfway through the previous Search and Rescue book. Scott's character was the one that I had to know more about. I knew that it was going to be amazing, and I was correct. Every time I think I have a favorite book she releases another. The back story was sad and sweet at the same time. I needed Scott and Keren to be together since obviously I couldn't have him. There is a slight touch of mystery interwoven in the books. Not enough to turn pure romance readers off, but enough for a change of pace. Come discover Severton, and you will not be sorry.

I enjoyed this one more than the first book. Keren and Scott have been at each others throats since forever. They live in a small town where everyone knows everyone else and Keren is wondering whether its was time to move as she wants the married thing and to settle with someone. Scott has always wanted her, his cousin Jake was the guy that had made a relationship with Keren difficult because he wanted her and told Scott some untruths. When Keren finally got angry enough with him she demanded to know why he hated her, his answer was a very passionate kiss. She slapped him and walked away. They both remembered the kiss though and when they finally slept together it was the magic Scott had expected. Keeping it quiet though until they could understand each other more was impossible and Keren needed to work through her doubts. Great read

Scott and Keren were meant to be. The town mystery continues, Gran’s Gin is finally on the market, and there are plenty of surprises in this book. I look forward to the next book in this series.
