Guitar looks beautiful no physical damage , but overall playability and quality control is horrendous , literally the worst quality I’ve ever seen for a $1k guitar . I guess Fender fanboys consider these problems normal , I guess along with the brand name you get issues . I’ve bought “budget” friendly guitars that were beyond better than this . I hope this was just a bad one from a bad batch , because this is just not acceptable .

Edit: thankfully, Amazon returns are simple. I’ve received the replacement, and it is damage free and quite nice. However, not only was the setup bad on this as well, but the nut slots were way too wide on the unwound strings. This made it borderline unplayable without having work done to the nut. Disappointing, but I’ll keep this one.
My best guess is some retailer in the UK had excess inventory…the box and some stickers/tags indicated UK. There was an interesting sticker on the box that said “pick this carton last” - don’t know if that came from Fender or the original retailer and I can’t figure out why.
Overall extremely happy with the guitar and especially for the price.
