I am very pleased with how it all came together! I have been wanting to do my own build for quite some time, and I am so glad I finally decided to give it a go! With all the online tutorials and support, it made it more manageable than I had imagined. Thank you MC for all the guidance!$2,612.92 -

Stock for 50 series gpu has improved and readily available now, and I was able to get a 5070 TI close to msrp. I know the 50 series isn't a leap forward in raw performance over last gen, but I am upgrading from RTX 2070 that I had since 2019. It's a worthy upgrade. 16GB VRAM and DLSS + frame generation should hopefully last me another 5 years.$2,387.91 -

I got the CPU/RAM/MB combo and near msrp 5070 GPU from microcenter. Huge savings. The rest are from newegg and amazon when they were on sale. The entire build looked super clean with the fractal north white case. And RGB makes it even better. Performance-wise, it's perfect enough for the games I play. I already own a 1440p monitor and it will be my primary resolution. In Oblivion remastered, I was able to get 90+ fps in ultra graphics. Not bad. I do have some future plans to upgrade the gpu to a white one if possible, but I am satisfied with it right now.$1,722.93 -

I am the owner of a computer shop called Cream World Domination LLC. I am also a manager of All Access Computers LLC. Both are located in Macon, Ga. This particular build is one of many of my daily riders. I do video editing mainly. I only play a few games. Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 and God Of War Ragnarök. Though unnecessary, I might add more ram in the future.$3,395.62 -

I've never built a gaming PC before, always played on my laptop that could barely run CSGO and valorant. I spent around 6 months preping for this, learning from youtube videos and reddit posts and gathering parts. Everything works good, hopefully for a long time. I tested the PC with Clair Obscur Expedition 33 on 1440p epic 75% upscaling and it ran perfectly smooth at around 80fps. This game looks gorgeous with this setup and I can't stop playing it.$2,367.92 -

After months of researching and hunting for parts, I finally finished building Obsidian Vortex — a clean, efficient, and powerful gaming rig tailored for high FPS at 1440p without breaking the bank. I built this PC using a mix of high-quality used components and carefully selected parts to get the best performance-per-dollar while keeping it visually sleek and thermally efficient. My goal was to play modern AAA titles with high frame rates, low temps, and zero compromise on stability. I deliberately chose used parts where it made sense (like the GPU and CPU) to stretch my budget without sacrificing performance. Every part was tested thoroughly before installing. The 5800x3D is still one of the best gaming CPUs thanks to its massive 3D V-Cache and efficiency. RTX 3080 FE was picked this up used, and it's been rock-solid. Undervolted for better thermals and power draw, no overclocking. Delivers ~120–160 FPS in Black Ops 6 and 60–80 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p Ultra settings with temps around 65–72°C. The slight GPU undervolt helped reduce noise and power draw without affecting FPS, and so far, thermals are under control even under load.$950.00 -

For a long time I had been using my laptop on RTX 2050, which was not enough for me, till I decided to build this PC. Initially I wanted to buy RTX 5070 TI but its disappointing availability and price just changed my mind so that I switched back to AMD and bought one of the most beautiful RX 9070 XT from XFX Mercury. It is already my 4th AMD graphic card and I have not regretted buying any of them. Even though I actually think that XFX Mercury is overpriced a little in terms of cooling/noise, lack of new 1 x 16-pin (if compare with Nitro+) and OC versions of this cards just don't make sense. Better just reduce power limit for 10% and enjoy if you have OC sample. The other parts as you can see I bought white as well. Even PSU is white. And someone could ask me why I am using air cooler with such powerful CPU as Ryzen 7 7800x3d. Come on people that is 95w processor, it is OK with air. Yes it is noisy a bit but not annoying. Btw I tried putting AIO (Artic liquid freezer 3 pro) in that case and It just hasn't fitted because of thick radiator I guess.$1,962.92 -

Getting it done took a lot of time learning about different parts and how they fit together, but it was totally worth it. Booted up the first time and installed windows and drivers. Not a single hiccups. Installed furmark benchmarking software and ran it for a couple of hours to make sure it's solid. In superposition benchmark, I was able to get 171 fps average in 1440p high setting which is the primary resolution I will be playing my games at.$1,712.92 -

I picked up this used prebuilt mainly because I wanted to start my son up into PC gaming without getting lost in the weeds of part hunting and compatibility headaches. Between GPU pricing, time constraints, and just wanting to start off with something basic, the used CyberPowerPC pre-built route made sense—and honestly, it delivered better than expected. This build’s my son’s daily driver for gaming. The Ryzen 5 5500 and RTX 4060 combo might not be flagship-tier, but for what he does, it hits the sweet spot for price and performance. He mainly plays Minecraft, Fortnite, and Marvel Rivals.$600.01 -

This rig is a long-overdue upgrade I built to handle a mix of high-end 1440p gaming and creative workloads. My old system was bottlenecking hard, especially when multitasking with a bunch of Chrome tabs open, some light editing in DaVinci Resolve, and Discord running in the background. The 5700X hits the sweet spot for price/performance, and with the beefy Dark Rock Pro 5, it stays super quiet even under load. The GPU was a big decision—I went with the 4070 Ti TUF because I game at 1440p and wanted something that could crush modern titles with RTX on without going full 4080 price. Primarily a gaming rig with a side of content creation. Games I’m Playing: Cyberpunk 2077 (RT Overdrive on, DLSS Balanced), Elden Ring / Lies of P, Escape from Tarkov, BattleBit Remastered, Helldivers 2, Baldur’s Gate 3 I also dabble in video editing and light 3D modeling, mostly starting personal projects or helping friends with YouTube intros. Nothing pro-level yet, but I like having to start somewhere.$1,310.00 -

I legitimately spent about 6 months stubbornly, obsessively, frustratingly trying to find the nvidia rtx 5080 card I wanted. I insisted that I would not pay for one of the 3rd party upcharge models that have no real benefits over the standard prices associated with the FE line that were set by nvidia. In summary, this was a spectacular failure. While the 5080 release was a complete failure for me, I found it a lot easier to obtain a reasonable 5070 card. I'm a little worried that the 12gb vram won't be very future proof, but for now it's serving me well and I have no complaints about it's base performance. While I was looting microcenter, I decided to upgrade to a larger and quieter air cooler since it was so affordable. I also upgraded my rgb components from static rgb to customizable argb - even though i still am most comfortable with the standard blue glow.$1,584.92 -

I have been gaming on a laptop for the convenience of its portability for my entire life. After graduating from college, I don't value portability as much anymore, so I decided to get a desktop. Best idea I made. Desktop gaming is completely on another level. It's better in graphic fidelity and runs smoother. I can game on it for hours without the computer overheating.$1,834.92 -

ASUS TUF OC 5080 GPU - This card rips, it's the best graphics card I have ever owned, I highly recommend this card. While it might not have the beauty of the ROG Astral for $200 more, but it has nearly identical performance. This card handles everything I throw at it with ease. The 7800x3d prevents any CPU bottlenecks, and it runs nice and cold thanks to the ARCTIC Freezer. With 6 - 140mm fans and the ARCTIC Liquid III 240, this case stays ultra cool. The case curved screen is like nothing else I have seen and at $150, I think it's very nice with the walnut accents.$2,889.93 -
