The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is re-envisioning its historic Parnassus Heights campus, home to its professional schools, a hospital and outpatient complex, and a robust and world-renowned research community. Since 1898, the Parnassus Heights campus has been the foundation for UCFS’s advancements in discovery, teaching and patient care. As UCSF turns its attention to Parnassus Heights, the aim is to re-imagine a campus that will continue to support the university’s mission for decades to come.

As one of our neighbors, UCSF is seeking your help in identifying potential improvements that would also further neighborhood goals for the physical environment that surrounds the Parnassus Heights campus.

This review of Parnassus Heights has been sparked by two events: 1) the need to plan for a new hospital on the campus and 2) the need to reconfigure and modernize the academic and research programs. This re-envisioning provides an opportunity to look more comprehensively at the entire campus to evaluate whether improvements can be made to building design and functionality, public spaces and pedestrian connectivity, as well as vehicular traffic flow for patients, employees and nearby residents and businesses.

The survey should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Your comments and ideas will inform UCSF’s planning and design process for Parnassus Heights over the next 18 months. If you are also a UCSF patient or employee, you may be asked to participate in another survey. Your generosity of time and effort to participate in multiple surveys would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for helping us plan for a better campus and surrounding neighborhood environment!
