We are seeking a thoughtful writer and storyteller to join our Editorial & Copy team and support brand messaging at ILIA. As a digitally-focused Copywriter, you’ll write copy across projects and channels—with a focus on email, SMS, social media (organic + paid) and more. This role is equal parts creative and technical; it requires the ability to quickly grasp the ILIA voice, and the precise eye of an editor.
This role is temp-to-hire (opportunity to convert to a permanent position after 90 days), hybrid and open to candidates based in Los Angeles, San Francisco or Oakland, California.
Base salary: $60,000-75,000* This is the anticipated salary range for this position. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a few factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2-4 years professional copy experience, preferably in the beauty/wellness space
Ability to write engaging, on-brand copy, and quickly grasp the ILIA voice
Impeccable grammar, editing and proofreading skills
Self-motivated, detail oriented, deadline-driven
Experience collaborating in a highly cross-functional environment
Passion for the beauty/skincare landscape and knowledge of trends in the market
Writing samples or portfolio required
RESPONSIBILITIES
Write and edit copy for emails, social (paid and organic), website, and more
Brainstorm and pitch ideas and franchises for email and social content to educate and inspire customers
Write scripts for paid ads in meta and TikTok and collaborate with the social media and eCommerce team to bring them to life
Partner with the Senior Manager, Copy & Editorial to contribute copy for 360 campaigns from concept to launch, including for PDP, social, marketing, and education
Transform technical product information into clear, informative storytelling that empowers our customers to feel confident in their purchase decisions
Ensure the ILIA voice comes to life consistently across all brand touchpoints
Research beauty trends, ingredients and topics of interest and bring them to life via creative storytelling
Ability to top edit and copy proof their work
