As the copywriter you will help create and develop the voice and tone of the AG brand using engaging and pristine copy that compliments the visual and story concepts generated by the creative team. Working alongside the creative and marketing teams, you will ensure delivery of a consistent personality and message across all channels.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years in a copywriting role within news media, publication, digital agency, or online retailer

  • A genuine interest in, and knowledge of, the fashion industry

  • An expert mastery of the English language and creative writing

  • Extensive experience with various writing styles appropriate to engage in an array of mediums

  • Sound understanding of copywriting tactics such as SEO, keywords, and text structure

  • Familiarity and understanding of the marketing and advertising creative process

  • Firm understanding of the consumer mindset

  • Extraordinary attention and focus to detail in a dynamic environment

  • Strong organizational and planning skills, and the ability to quickly adapt and prioritize to meet strict deadlines

  • Strong research skills

  • Excellent communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop copy written in a tone suitable for a variety of applications including:

  • Website, mobile, emails, social media, blogs, marketing materials, press advertising, news releases, sales letters, articles, brochures, product descriptions, text ads, banner ads, etc.

  • Proofread all copy and ensure a consistent message across all channels and mediums

  • Craft concise metadata and recommend the most fitting words to hyperlink

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and team to develop an effective tone and voice for the AG brand

  • Own the copywriting calendar—map and schedule copy project needs and deliverables

Productive Team Member:

  • Generate creative ideas to build innovative campaigns and provide strategic recommendations

  • Report on effectiveness of copy based on engagement and keyword ranking

  • Keep abreast the media landscape, technology, and innovative practices to further the AG objectives
